Event Workforce Group Front and Centre in September
Finals season has arrived and the Event Workforce Group team couldn’t be more excited.
Working during the AFL Finals series is often a dream for so many sporting enthusiasts. Soaking in the atmosphere, seeing the excitement or devastation on the faces of diehard supporters; it’s all part of football in September.
Over the past 5 AFL final series, Event Workforce Group Talent has worked closely with both clubs and the AFL, to place our workforcers in many varied roles. Whether it be merchandising, brand promotions or in operations at the Grand Final Parade, EWG has been at the heart of it all.
During the 2015 Grand Final pre-game, two of our Workforcers were fortunate to ride in the motorcade during the ‘legends’ lap of the MCG. Both Andy Wettenhall and George Chisholm were fortunate to live out every childhood dream while working at the Toyota Activation. It was an experience both boys still talk about today.
Meanwhile, during the Hawthorn FC Grand Final hot streak in recent years, our Workforcers played a vital role in the merchandise retail store during the club’s festival of celebrations. Across two days, we provided a team of 20 merchandise assistants.
“Event Workforce Group Talent have been a pleasure to work with over the past four years. The merchandise staff they provide are always very professional, energetic and show a lot of initiative.” – David Steinhardt, Licensing & Merchandise Manager at Hawthorn Football Club.
In other codes, EWG Talent has provided a workforce team of opening ceremony attendants at the NRL Grand Final. Working closely to distribute crowd banners around the stadium, there aren’t many bigger stages to complete a 4 hour shift. Can you think of a more exciting workplace?
Like any great team, EWG have stepped up in September and this year is no exception. Whether it be activation, operations, merchandise or hospitality staff, our workforce is ready to deliver on the big stage.
What a big month we have ahead of us, let the festivities begin.
